Minutes of AGM

The AGM of the club was held in the Linenhall Bar on November 5th 2002 with the following Members present:

It was voted upon whether to keep the fees at £10, increase to £15 or increase to £20. An increase to fifteen pounds was agreed to reflect the increase in MCI subscriptions. It was also agreed not to get the MCI club insurance as this would require an increase of fees to £20.

Last year some of the meets were not well attended and it was agreed to reduce the number of meets and have members tell the secretary their plans and all information received is cascaded to members who can decide what they want to do. The desire was expressed by some members to have beginner meets at the beginning of the season to encourage new members.

It was arranged that there should be a winter timetable including climbing wall and series of slide shows. Geoff, Donna, Dave, Andy and Marty (McGuigan) have agreed to show their slides at dates and a format to be arranged.

The Election of officers: Alan Tees is still President. The New Secretary is Al Millar. Nominated Bill Magowan, sec Ronnie Smith. Donna Ryan resigned as treasurer and Geoff Thomas was voted in as new Treasurer. Nominated Donna Ryan seconded Pete Smith.

Other Business: It was agreed to pay £40 for the purchase of the website domain www.ColmcilleClimbers.com.
