Pollnalong. Downings. Co Donegal

How come I've never been to this lovely little crag before? It's only an hour and a bit from Derry; the rock is superb; the routes are of a reasonable length and the scenery is magnificent. I recommend it highly to anyone who has a half day to spare and especially to the adventurous new routers.

Alan Tees and I met up at the lay-by for the planned trip to Muckish, but she was shrouded in wet looking mist so we passed her on the East and headed Northwards to Pollnalong. We climbed 4 routes including the brilliant VS, Craos. Alan then took me on a scenic pub crawl as we meandered our way home to end a satisfying night's climbing.
