Camilla Camilla New Colmciller

Meester _Psyclone believes in taking the Colmcille recruitment drive seriously. He asked if it was OK to bring a young lady he'd met at the climbing wall. Of course, being genial and helpful at all times, I acquiesced with alacrity. Well, Camilla (see photo in the Rogues' Gallery) certainly climbed with all the ability that _Psyke had promised, but we both felt a bit guilty delivering her home at midnight when my own 11 year old daughter had been asleep for 2 hours or more.

We started off on SRS Slab and then gradually moved up in difficulty. Of the 3 hard severes that Camilla completed, she reckoned Diversion was the best. I think that her difficulties on Tina's Crack were solely due to her diminutive stature (3' 6" in her climbing boots) and that she'll be fit to lead all these routes in a year or two after a teenage growth spurt. Ree-speck.

Al Millar, Pete Cooper and Donna Ryan also turned up. Between us we did a fair bit of climbing - I completed 7 routes on the night.
