3rd Aug 2000. Bunagee, Culdaff. Co. Donegal.

Pete Smith Michael McGinty, Zoe Stephenson [pic], Alan Tees, Chris Ryan and I went to Culdaff for an evening's climbing. The weather was indifferent, but perfectly acceptable, and we set off with light hearts. It was good to see Chris making a long-awaited comeback - perhaps he'll be out regularly again now that his enthusiasm has been re-kindled.

I led Glengad Girls HS, as Alan put up a new route, Grainne's Groove S. When Chris and Zoe were following me, Alan put up another new one, Miss Conception S 4a.

Michael then received a gift in the form of another new route, Mingus Eyes VS 4b (I wait to be corrected about the name). This turned out to be quite a serious undertaking, with marginal gear and loose rock. A bit more cleaning/traffic should leave it a worthwhile route.

Alan led Blondes VS 4c in a hail of fulmar-launched vomit. Michael and I followed him up as Zoe retired to wash her chunder-filled eye.

We retired to McGrory's as the light faded and enjoyed a pint and a good chin-wag.
