Colmcille Climbers

Port a Doris. Saturday 3rd June 2000

Come the end of a long hard week at work (well, it was the end of the week anyway) I fancied a bit of clambering, so Golly gallantly responded to the call, and we arranged to go to Port a' Dorais on Saturday.

The sun was splitting the stones in the morning, but my head was splitting after a Friday night out in Derry, so we had a civilised afternoon start. It was a pleasant, stress-free day, climbing easy grades - I didn't have to be dragged up anything! We climbed 'Cup Final Alternative' to warm up, then 'Crackatoa' to warm up a bit more, then a couple more (okay, I haven't a notion what they're called) because I just wasn't quite warm enough.

By then, of course, it was time for home. Anyway, that was about it - someone had better start submitting some more reports quick so I don't have to do this again!!

Yn iach, Sally
